SportCentral in partnership with Clackmannanshire Sports Development, Active Stirling and Falkirk Active Schools provided the opportunity for primary school children to attend cricket-coaching weeks.

Coaching weeks were run at the following venues; Clackmannan County Cricket Club, Stirling County Cricket Club, Stenhousemuir Cricket Club and McLaren Leisure Centre.

Over 90 children attended the weeks that gave them the opportunity to experience the key skills involved in cricket such as, catching, throwing, striking, bowling and learning the rules of a kwik cricket game.  The skills taught were taught in a fun environment generally through small-sided games and competitions.

Qualified coaches who all work as volunteers in their local clubs took sessions.
