Kari Anderson is responsible for developing cricket from grass roots to elite level. Kari works closely in club development, with the local clubs in the area. She is also responsible for implementing and supporting Cricket Scotland initiatives such as TopClub. Kari has been involved in the development of cricket in central for 2 years and took up the post as Cricket co-ordinator/Development Manager in 2006. With a passion for the game outside the office environment Kari can be seen captaining the Senior Scotland Women's Team, Managing the U21 team or coaching the Scotland Girls U16 squad. Cricket in the SportCentral area is thriving. With 7 clubs in the local area actively promoting junior cricket. Six of which have signed up to Cricket Scotland's TopClub, which is a development and accreditation scheme for junior club development. There are currently 284 junior members across Forth Valley (figures from season 2006). There are over 30 qualified coaches who help run junior sections, area squad training, and primary school sessions and cricket weeks during the Easter and summer holidays. In partnership with the Forth Valley Cricket Development Group there are over 35 talented cricketers take part in winter training sessions and summer games against other area squads in the Central Area.
