80 Coaches attend Box Soccer Coach Development Evening

The final Scottish FA Central region Coach Development Evening of 2009 took place at Recreation Park, Alloa on Friday 27th November 2009.

Over 80 coaches observed the practical session delivered by Ian Cathro from Box Soccer. The session focussed on technical development within the one box area.  This innovative approach to coaching has led to the creation of a new system of 'Box Soccer'

SportCentral/Scottish FA Football Development Manager Alan Morgan added:

‘I was delighted with the attendance considering the recent weather and I’m sure that the spectators will have taken lots of ideas away that they can put into practice with their players.’

‘I would like to thank Hugh McCann from Alloa Athletic F.C for facilitating it and allowing the U16’s squad to demonstrate the practical content.’

Details of Coach Education and Coach Development in 2010 will be available shortly within the Scottish FA Central Region Brochure.
