SportCentral 13’s regional squad finished their 20-week programme at Easter by winning the SFA Central Region Development Squad Tournament beating North Lanarkshire 3-1 in the final.  East Dunbartonshire and a local Forth Valley select squad were the other teams in the 4-team tournament.

The event is rotated every Easter around the above Local Authorities.  This year was hosted by East Dunbartonshire and played at the Loretto pitches over a 2 day period.

The SportCentral players involved in last seasons programme were selected from Falkirk, Clackmannanshire and Stirling local clubs and schools.  Their weekly training sessions also included generic sessions such as Diet and Nutrition, Speed and Agility, Core Stability, Psychology and fitness testing as well as standard football practice and the matches programme.

Most of the squad will move onto the 14’s level next season except for Jonathon Murphy and Charlie McCann who have signed professional forms with Alloa Athletic and Stenhousemuir F.C.
