SportCentral Girls Football
S1/2 This year a massive fifteen teams from thirteen schools have registered with our Bank of Scotland S1/2 Secondary League, around 150 girls have been participation in fortnightly festivals at various locations across
The teams are at the half way stage’ each having played around ten games. It is a closely fought contest with Falkirk High and Graeme High currently fighting it out at the top then only 5 points separating the next 7 teams! The festivals will restart in April and will climax with a final festival in June. Most of the schools have taken advantage of the Bank of Scotland Coaching Programme and this is certainly showing through with the quality of football on display. S3-6 Like the S1/2 league this years S3-6 league has also been highly successful. Sixteen teams from thirteen schools have registered and around 160 girls have also been competing in fortnightly festivals across the forth valley area. All teams have played an average of ten games, like the younger age group Falkirk High and Graeme High currently top the table with the rest of the schools not too far behind them. The games will restart in April and the final festival will be played in June. Congratulations must go to all the teams for the sporting manner in which the games have been played. |
