Clubgolf

clubgolf is a key component of Scotland's national strategy for junior golf. Launched on the Scottish Executive's pledge to create an opportunity for every child in Scotland to experience golf, the programme is now well established and growing every year.

clubgolf is backed by Scotland's leading golfers including Catriona Matthew, Paul Lawrie, Sandy Lyle, and Colin Montgomerie.

Our plan is managed and directed by a board of professionals who represent the key bodies of golf and sport in Scotland, the Scottish Golf Union, the Scottish Ladies' Golfing Association the Professional Golfers' Association, The Golf Foundation, and sportscotland.

Our Mission:

Clubgolf's mission is to create a long-term player development pathway that will increase opportunities for all children and young people to access golf and enjoy lifelong involvement in the game.

Our Vision:

By 2009, every child in Scotland will:

• have the opportunity to experience golf by the time they are nine years old;
• be welcomed into a sport that they can play for life;
• be encouraged to reach their full potential.

With a clear focus on increasing participation and improving performance, we will lead and support our partners to develop and sustain meaningful programmes, create a coaching culture and promote best practice.
