
| Coach Education Moving Forward 2009 |

SportCentral and partners (Clackmannanshire, Falkirk, and Stirling Sports Development) are proud to announce over 200 people attending gymnastics education courses and workshop. The vast majority of these were coaches active in the Forth Valley area and some have been able to access educational support grants from SportCentral to help meet the cost of furthering their qualifications. To date (21st Jan 09) 24 coaches and judges have asked for and will receive assistance of up to 50% of course costs.
Many examinations have also been taking place (keeping one of the local examiners, Robert C To this end SportCentral will be launching a gymnastics mentoring programme aimed at directly supporting selected coaches at various levels in Central and hopes that over the next 12 months that many of these coaches will expand their knowledge and increase the depth of their skill vocabulary. Many it is hoped will also feel confident enough to progress up to their next level of qualification.
