Men's Artistic SportCentral Beginner & Intermediate Competition - Tulligarth 2007

80 gymnasts took to the apparatus last October to compete in the Men’s Scottish Beginner + Intermediate Floor & Vault Gymnastics Competition at Tulligarth Leisure Complex in Clackmannanshire. The Forth Valley area was well represented with Alloa, Falkirk and Hillfoots Gymnastics Clubs entering an impressive 30 gymnasts. The strength of these clubs showed through with 10 medals in total being won including 4 golds!

This competition, hosted in partnership with Scottish Gymnastics, SportCentral and Clackmannanshire Sports Development was the first gymnastics competition for boys held in the Forth Valley area for more years than most people can remember and is a sign of the growing popularity of the sport. Alloa and Falkirk Gymnastics Clubs have gymnasts from all over Forth Valley and boast a number of Scottish Champions.

Paul Thewlis, one of the coaches from Lasswade Gymnastics Club in Midlothian commented “there was a great atmosphere and it was really good to see so many gymnasts taking part and enjoying themselves”.
