To enrol on the above contact SportCentral Coaching Course Details Course: Level 1 General Gymnastics Assistant Coach Description: This general gymnastics course is designed to cover the coaching of the developmental stages of childhood and older children who may wish to participate in structured recreational /non-competitive gymnastics activities. The course covers static elements on a variety of apparatus, locomotive skills on floor (including jumps, rolls, handstand, and cartwheel), basic vaulting, developmental shapes and skills on a single bar and beam, and partner work. The holder may assist a qualified coach with a gymnastics class or assist within club run provision. Minimum age is 16 years on the day of the course. Date: Saturday 17th January, Saturday 30th January and Sunday 1 February 2009 Time: 9.30-5.00pm Venue: Tillicoultry Community Centre, Spiers Centre, Cost: £275
Course: Men’s Artistic Gymnastics Club Judging - Level 2 Description: This course is aimed at parents, coaches and older gymnasts who are interested in becoming involved in judging Men’s Artistic Gymnastics. Candidates will be qualified to judge at a basic level in Club, Regional and Scottish level Men’s Artistic 6 piece competitions. It is expected that candidates will have a basic experience in gymnastics as a coach or as a gymnast, or for parents that they will have a little understanding in their son’s gymnastics including knowledge of some skills and apparatus to take part in this course. Minimum age is 15 years old. Date: Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th November 2008 Time: 9.30am – 5.00pm each day Venue: tbc Cost: £80
