This programme information is to be used as guidance for coaches looking to advance their gymnasts in the early years of development through a recommended training and competition programme as designed by Tan Jai En, Scottish Gymnastics National Academy Coach and SportCentral.

This programme provides an excellent start for boys aged 6 to 8 to develop them into gymnasts capable of performing on the British Gymnastics Elite Grades programme. It is also recommended for older gymnasts wishing to develop onto the National Development Plan (NDP) competitions. Coaches who are looking for guidance on starting young boys out on a developmental and competitive gymnastics pathway should download and use the training programme below. Please use this information in conjunction with Scottish Gymnastics national competition and squad programmes to develop your gymnasts on the national framework.
