John Manson has been working as the Central Rugby RDM since January 2006 and is responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring rugby development throughout the local authority areas of Clackmannanshire, Falkirk and Stirling. With a specific focus on ensuring that local clubs are strong, sustainable and at the heart of their communities, John's key priorities are to deliver the targets outlined in the Central Rugby Strategy and contribute to the overall aims of Scottish Rugby and SportCentral.
Regional Delivery - SportCentral The role of the SportCentral Regional Rugby Development Manager was firstly create the Central Regional Strategy and establish the three Local Area Action Plans in each of the Local Authorities (Clackmannanshire, Falkirk & Stirling) to identify and agree specific actions to achieve growth. These plans are driven by three Local Rugby Development Groups. Regional & Local Groups being: A group of individuals responsible for the creation, implementation and monitoring of a regional rugby development plan and ultimately responsible for the development and growth of all aspects of the game of rugby in Central. These groups are driven by the Rugby Development Manager (RDM) and made up of influential, respected, knowledgeable, solution focussed people. In order to achieve the targets SportCentral recognises that the existing network of professional rugby staff with clear roles and responsibilities will also contribute to the success of both the local & regional plans.
