The cream of Scottish school swimmers converged at Tollcross, Glasgow to take part in the Scottish Schools Swimming Championships on Sat 31st January.

In what proved to be an exciting day, Central Schools swimmers put in some determined swims and came away with 2 Gold, 7 Silver and 4 Bronze medals, including 37 top ten placings.

Calum Ferguson, Alva Academy was in top form taking Gold in the Boys 13/14yrs 100m Butterfly and in a close finish taking Silver in the 200m Individual Medley.

Charlotte MacKenzie, Larbert High won Gold in the Girls 13/14yrs 100m Backstroke and came 5th in the 200m Individual Medley.

Ross Muir, Falkirk High won Silver in the in the Boys 17/19yrs 200m Individual Medley and continued his success taking Silver in the Boys Open 400m Individual Medley .

Julie Nimmo, Carron Primary won Silver in the Girls 12yrs/Under 50m Butterfly which was an inprovement from 3rd place in the qualifying heats

Carron Primary School A Relay Team comprising of Gao Toole, Lauren Yorston, Hannah Busby & Julie Nimmo took Silver in an exciting Girls 12yrs/Under 4 x 50m Freestlye Relay.

Kayrine Kelly, Stirling High won Silver in the Girls 13/14yrs 200m Butterfly and came 6th in the 200m Freestyle.

Martin Cremin, Dunblane High won Silver in the Boys Open 400m Freestyle and came 6th in the Boys 17/19yrs 200m Freestyle.

Stephanie Hanley, Dollar Academy fought hard for a well deserved Bronze in the Girls 17/19yrs 200m Backstroke and narrowly missed a medal in the Girls Open 400m Freestyle coming in 4th

Katie McKenna, Wallace High won Bronze in the 100m Freestyle and came 5th in the 200m Freestyle.

Dale McAnish, Grangemouth High won Bronze in the 100m Butterfly and came 10th in the 200m Freestyle.

Greig MacKenzie, Greame High won Bronze in the 100m Butterfly
